Samsung Electronics sold around 4 lakh Galaxy Fold cell phones a year ago, the organization’s versatile business boss said and denied before media reports that it sold one million foldable handsets.

“We’ve sold 400,000-500,000 Galaxy Fold cell phones,” Koh Dong-jin, President and CEO of Samsung’s IT and Mobile Communication division, said at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2020.

Koh’s remark affirms Samsung’s prior stand discrediting media reports that it sold 1 million Galaxy Folds in 2019, Yonhap news office gave an account of Tuesday.
In December, Sohn Young-kwon, a Samsung official who drives Samsung Strategy and Innovation Center, said the organization sold 1 million Galaxy Folds. Be that as it may, the organization denied the figure, saying Sohn may have mistaken the number for the organization’s underlying deals focus for 2019.
The Galaxy Fold, which has a 7.3-inch screen that clients can overlay evenly like a book, formally went marked down in September at $2,000. Investigators anticipated that Samsung would sell around 400,000-500,000 foldable telephones.
In the interim, Koh said he would present Samsung’s new “clamshell” foldable cell phone during CES 2020 that goes through Friday.
On the opening day of the world’s biggest tech expo, Koh was spotted disclosing Samsung items to head of South Korean portable transporters – SK Telecom CEO Park Jung-ho and LG Uplus CEO Ha Hyun-hwoi.
Samsung’s new foldable cell phone, expected to flaunt a 6.7-inch show and can turn out to be about square when collapsed, is booked to be revealed one month from now.
